Sven Gali is a Canadian hard rock and heavy metal band formed in 1987 in Hamilton and Niagara Falls, Ontario. They began as a cover band before releasing their self-titled debut album in 1992, which went gold in Canada and featured hit singles like Under the Influence and Love Don't Live Here Anymore. The band gained recognition touring with major acts such as Def Leppard, Foreigner, and April Wine, earning airplay on MTV and a Juno nomination. They released additional albums Inwire in 1995 and returned after a long hiatus with Bombs and Battlescars in 2023, showcasing their signature mix of heavy riffs and melodic hooks. The current lineup includes original members Dave Wanless, Andy Frank, and Shawn Minden, with Sean Williamson and Dan Fila joining. Sven Gali continues to perform live, connecting with fans across Canada and maintaining a legacy in the hard rock scene.
