I knew nothing about lavender. I knew nothing about farming. Sure I lived with my husband on the family land that was passed down from generation to generation (since 1860), but I did not farm. I didn’t get my hands dirty in this soil. So I planted 40 plants in a little spot of land in our backyard. Then I made some products. Then we sold out. A new company was born.

Join us on July 27 for a private event at Hereward Farms. We'll visit the Lavender Lounge + Boutique and the lavender fields, while hearing from owner Julie Thurgood-Burnett. Julie will share her story - which includes stints at large and small companies, leaps into entrepreneurship while balancing motherhood, and opening a lavender farm during a pandemic, Julie's story is sure to resonate with us all.
