In a second-class railway compartment, Mr. B, a gentleman, tries to be hospitable to the young couple who join him.

When he feels his authority challenged, he recruits a couple of ruffians to reassert control over his space with increasingly devastating consequences.

A national team of racialized and ally artists come together to perform this text by Meghna Haldar – inviting the audience into a discussion that considers what it means to be “civilized”.

A FEW REMINDERS

• In the event of inclement weather, look out for an email in advance regarding a rain plan for performances at outdoor venues.
• For shows at outdoor venues, bring: Weather-appropriate clothing (i.e., raincoats) and/or blankets (no umbrellas please).
• Bathrooms: Bathrooms will be nearby and accessible, but not within, any of the outdoor venues – so plan your trip accordingly.
• Accessibility: If you need to be seated in a specific place due to accessibility needs, please let MT Space staff know as soon as possible at tickets@mtspace.ca and plan to arrive 30-40min before the performance to be seated.
• Late Arrivals: Please plan on arriving with time to spare before a show starts; late arrivals will not be permitted after 15 minutes into the performance.
• Festival Bar: You can attend the Festival Bar (TWH Social) after performances – open 9pm until late most nights! (see the Festival programme for details)
