Dr. Tyler Frederick earned his PhD in the Department of Sociology at the University of Toronto, with a focus on crime and deviance and gender. He did his postdoctoral work at the Toronto Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
Dr. Frederick will speak on his current research project on the transition away from homelessness for young people. The project follows 80 young people across 4 cities in Canada for up to 34 months. It involves collecting information about peoples’ backgrounds, their wellbeing and doing qualitative interviews about their experiences.
