Karly Church is a survivor and conqueror of human trafficking. She is an advocate for domestic sex trafficking victims, striving to bring awareness and reduce stigma on the topic. Following her escape, Church attended Canadore College earning her certification in Social Services and Mental Health & Addictions.
She currently works with Victim Services of Durham Region and The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. She has educated over 5,000 service providers, law enforcement and youth on sex trafficking and facilitates support groups for youth who have experience sexual exploitation, sexual violence and human trafficking.
Through conferences, public speaking, panel discussions and community outreach, Church strives to educate and bring awareness of human trafficking to Canadians.
