Inspired by the success of the 18 MM PROGRAM, KCFF DOC FACTORY is our newest year-round filmmaking initiative! Led by our program director Ahmed Ismaiel Nour, the adult participants received instruction on film theory and technique before launching into the creation of their respective films this past fall. While some participants have previous experience, the majority of the names you see are individuals who have only flirted with the idea of making a film, or maybe sat on a great idea, in need of a spark or incentive to move forward. KCFF DOC FACTORY is that spark and incentive! While you kick back and enjoy this inaugural edition, maybe you’ll find yourself dreaming about your script coming alive on the big screen for 2026!
As the KCFF Doc Factory producer, I hope this small family of filmmakers continues to grow in the coming years. I am proud to present the projects from the first cohort of the program,, divided into two showcases that highlight a remarkable range of topics and styles. The filmmakers will be in attendance and look forward to sharing their experiences with you during post-screening discussions, We hope to see you there!
