
Daniel Ramjattan is a Toronto-based classical guitarist, educator, and performance coach recognized for his versatility as both a soloist and collaborator. A gold medal–certified instructor with The Royal Conservatory of Music, he has built a diverse career that balances concert performance, university teaching, and research in music performance anxiety. Since 2020, he has served on the faculty at Wilfrid Laurier University’s Faculty of Music, where he leads the classical guitar studio and mentors emerging artists. Ramjattan has premiered numerous solo and chamber works, championing new Canadian compositions while maintaining a strong connection to the traditional classical guitar repertoire. His 2022 album, Inspirations: New Music for Solo Guitar, highlights contemporary works and showcases his expressive range and technical command. In addition to performing across Canada and internationally, he works closely with musicians to develop strategies for managing stage fright, drawing on his doctoral research to help performers build confidence and resilience in high-pressure settings, further establishing him as an ambassador for the classical guitar in Canada.
