Dave Hemstad is a talented comedian whose humor is authentic and relatable, drawing audiences in with every performance. Born and raised in Thornhill, Ontario, Dave discovered his passion for comedy while studying business at Wilfrid Laurier University. Realizing he was much better at making people laugh than crunching numbers, he chose to pursue comedy full time. Dave's career took off in 2002 with his first national television appearance, and since then, he has become a staple of the Canadian comedy scene. His numerous performances at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal have earned him critical acclaim and three Canadian Comedy Award nominations. Beyond stand up, Dave has acted in television series including Showcase's Almost Heroes and regularly contributes to CBC's Still Standing. He is also a well known panelist on CBC's The Debaters, where his quick wit turns any topic into a hilarious debate. Known for his approachable demeanor and strong connection with audiences, Dave Hemstad continues to make people laugh, whether on stage or on screen.
