Jesse O’Brien is a Hamilton, Ontario–based keyboardist, songwriter, and producer known for his dynamic work across blues, rock, soul, and pop. Introduced to music by his father at a young age, he was already performing professionally as a teenager, sharing stages with respected Canadian artists and quickly building a reputation for his expressive playing and versatility. O’Brien has toured and recorded extensively, most notably as a longtime member of the Colin James Band, contributing to projects that earned national recognition and industry awards. His skill on piano and organ has made him a sought-after collaborator, both in studio sessions and on major festival stages. In addition to performing, he is an accomplished producer and songwriter, crafting music across multiple genres while maintaining strong roots in blues and R&B traditions. Recognized as a Keyboard Player of the Year by Canadian blues organizations, O’Brien continues to balance touring, recording, and producing, establishing himself as a respected and influential figure in Canada’s contemporary roots music scene.
