Born on February 14, 2003 in Oakville and raised in the Greater Toronto Area, Schizas began skating at the age of three and steadily progressed through Canada’s competitive development system before emerging as a national standout in the early 2020s. Training under coaches Nancy Lemaire and Alison Purkiss, she captured multiple Canadian national titles and established herself as a reliable competitor in major international events, earning podium finishes on the ISU Challenger Series and a bronze medal at the 2020 Challenge Cup. Schizas made her Olympic debut representing Team Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics, where her strong short program performance helped Canada secure a fourth-place finish in the team event, a significant result against the world’s top skating nations. She later returned to the Olympic stage at the 2026 Winter Olympics, further solidifying her status as a cornerstone of Canada’s women’s figure skating program.
