Shadow Show is a Detroit-based psychedelic garage rock trio formed in 2018 that blends vintage 1960s garage-psychedelia with modern pop-rock energy, creating a colorful, retro-inspired sound characterized by jangling guitars, layered vocal harmonies, and vibrant, kaleidoscopic songwriting; the band consists of guitarist and vocalist Ava East, bassist Kate Derringer, and drummer Kerrigan Pearce, and since their formation in Detroit they have developed a reputation for energetic live performances and a distinctive aesthetic influenced by classic garage rock, psychedelic pop, and modern indie rock; the group released their debut album Silhouettes which introduced their dreamy yet driving style through songs like “Charades” and “Contessa,” and they continued expanding their sound with the follow-up record Fantasy Now!, featuring tracks such as “Mystic Spiral” and “Aunt Maizy,” further establishing them within the contemporary garage-psych revival scene, while their music’s bright melodies, swirling instrumentation, and vintage visual aesthetic have earned them a growing international following and touring opportunities with indie and psychedelic rock artists across North America and Europe.
