
Steve Piticco, born July 6, 1961, in Toronto, Ontario, is a celebrated Canadian guitarist, singer, and songwriter, widely recognized as the “Telecaster Master” for his exceptional command of the Fender Telecaster, which he acquired at age fifteen and still plays today. Beginning guitar at eleven, Piticco developed a versatile musical style that spans Classic Country, Gospel, Bluegrass, and Texas Swing, captivating audiences with his high-energy performances and perfect pitch. Relocating to the Ottawa Valley in the late 1970s, he quickly became a fixture in the Canadian country music scene, performing at festivals such as the Napanee Country Jamboree and touring extensively across Ontario. Over a professional career exceeding 45 years, Piticco has recorded notable tracks including One Way Rider, Ramblin’, Whooper Snooper, and Mansion On The Hill, and has collaborated with many leading country artists. A multi-time honoree by the Canadian Country Music Association (CMA) and inductee of the Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame, Piticco remains dedicated to live performance, music education, and mentoring the next generation of guitarists.
