Followers of the local music and movie scenes might remember Jay Middaugh’s LIVE IN KINGSTON, which premiered at KCFF17. The creators are back with an exclusive live script-reading of the upcoming feature film comedy STILL ALIVE IN KINGSTON. In a role loosely based on his life, former MuchMusic host Bill Welychka stars as a washed-up, middle-aged entertainment journalist desperate to recapture the glory and fame of his youth. With the help of his ex-wife, Kingston-born TV producer extraordinaire Amy (Anna Sudac), and bankrolled by an eccentric benefactor (Jesse MacMillan), Bill dives deep into the Kingston music scene to prove that he’s still got what it takes.
