Disney’s The Lion King Jr. follows Simba, a young lion prince destined to inherit the Pride Lands, whose life is shattered when his jealous Uncle Scar murders Simba’s father, Mufasa, and convinces Simba it was his fault, driving him into exile. In a distant jungle, Simba grows up with the carefree meerkat and warthog duo Timon and Pumbaa, adopting their “Hakuna Matata” philosophy while trying to forget his past and responsibilities. When his childhood friend Nala and the wise mandrill Rafiki find him, they remind him of his true identity and Mufasa’s legacy, inspiring Simba to return home, confront Scar, expose the truth about Mufasa’s death, and reclaim his place as king, restoring balance to the Pride Lands and continuing the “Circle of Life.”
