Produced by Kingston’s Fireheart Films in conjunction with the P4W Memorial Collective, this powerful documentary by directors Dakota Ward and Michael Benia brings viewers into the experience of six women who endured periods of incarceration at the former Prison for Women. Though the personal journeys of the film’s subjects may each be unique, together their testimonies form a deeply affecting saga of trauma, resilience, and healing. KCFF’s special presentation includes an extended talk that marks a further opportunity to explore the film’s core themes of sisterhood and survival.
