Experience an immersive behind-the-scenes look at filmmaking through an interactive film set tied to a recent training production shot at the Kingston Penitentiary. Visit various departments and talk to crew about their on-set roles, including the art department, camera, continuity, direction, editing, lighting, sound, special effects, wardrobe, and more!
This interactive set offers a rare opportunity to ask questions directly to working professionals in a simulated working environment and gain a practical understanding of how a film set operates from the inside out.
A limited number of free hour-long guided tours are available for registration from 1:00PM-2:00PM, then the Interactive Set will remain open for the public to freely visit and speak to all participating crew during the TABLE TALKS from 2:00PM-4:30PM (please register for the TABLE TALKS separately).
Participating crew to be announced shortly.
The Interactive Set is supported by The City of Kingston, Correctional Service Canada, the DAN School, Dedolights, Experience Ventures, HD Source, MBSE Canada, Queen’s Film & Media, Sony Canada and Visual Menace. It is tied to a an original Pop Sandbox production supported by the Canada Media Fund and Ontario Creates
With additional support from the Tett, KCFF, Queen's film, and the city of Kingston.
