Insane Clown Posse (ICP) is an American hip hop duo from Delray, Detroit, formed in 1989. The group consists of Joseph Bruce, known as Violent J, and Joseph Utsler, known as Shaggy 2 Dope. ICP is renowned for pioneering the horrorcore subgenre, blending hardcore hip hop with dark, theatrical themes often centered around carnival and horror imagery. Their performances are marked by elaborate stage setups, audience interaction, and theatrical antics, including the iconic use of Faygo soda. Over the years, the duo has cultivated a devoted fan base known as Juggalos, who embrace the subculture surrounding ICP's music and persona. The group has released numerous albums, including The Great Milenko (1997), Bang! Pow! Boom! (2009), and The Naught (2025), and has maintained an independent streak through their label, Psychopathic Records.
