
Gary Kirkham is a Kitchener-based playwright, actor, projection artist, and filmmaker whose work has been staged by more than 50 theatres across Canada. An artistic associate with The MT Space, he has collaborated on landmark productions such as The Last 15 Seconds, Seasons of Immigration, and Body 13, blending visual storytelling with theatrical innovation. His own plays include Falling: A Wake, Queen Milli of Galt, Pearl Gidley, and Rage Against Violence, works that reveal his gift for weaving humour, humanity, and social reflection. Kirkham's artistry extends beyond writing into performance and design, often incorporating projection and multimedia elements to deepen the audience experience. His most recent collaborations include Provenance-Asε with Lily Abena-Ansuah Gyamfi-Kumanini, presented at the IMPACT 25 International Theatre Festival in Kitchener. Deeply rooted in the Waterloo Region, Kirkham continues to shape Canadian theatre through both original works and collective creations, earning recognition for his versatility and collaborative spirit.
