Kim Mitchell is a Canadian rock musician born in 1952 in Sarnia, Ontario. He first rose to prominence as the lead singer and guitarist for the band Max Webster, which he formed in 1973. The group became known for its blend of progressive rock and hard rock, earning a devoted following in Canada through energetic performances and inventive songwriting. After Max Webster disbanded in 1982, Mitchell launched a successful solo career, producing hits such as Go for Soda, All We Are, and Patio Lanterns. Go for Soda became his only entry on the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 86, and remains a staple of Canadian rock radio. Over the decades, Mitchell has released albums including Akimbo Alogo, Shakin Like a Human Being, Rockland, and Aural Fixations. Celebrated for his distinctive guitar style, powerful vocals, and engaging live performances, Kim Mitchell continues to tour, entertaining fans across Canada and maintaining his legacy as one of the country's most iconic rock artists.
