Matt Zaddy is a Mississauga, Ontario–based singer-songwriter, music educator, and independent artist known for blending folk rock, Americana, rhythm & blues, and modern soul into a storytelling-driven style. He released his debut album Perfect Moments in 2015, which helped establish his early presence in the Canadian folk-rock scene with reflective, narrative-focused songwriting. In 2019, he followed up with the album Be, featuring tracks such as “A Dear Friend,” “Brighter Days,” and “A Tiny Spark,” which continued to build his reputation for warm, acoustic-rooted music with emotional depth. Moving into the early 2020s, Zaddy maintained an active recording and performance schedule, including singles and live recordings like “What Comes Around” (2023), which highlighted a more polished folk-pop production style while keeping his signature storytelling approach. By 2025–2026, he was still actively releasing and performing new material, including the single “Far Too Long” (2025) and seasonal/live performances such as his 2025 Christmas recordings, alongside appearances at regional festivals and cultural events like Carassauga in 2026, reinforcing his role as a steady presence in Ontario’s independent folk and roots music community.
