Nicole Joy-Fraser is an award-winning Indigi-queer performing artist based in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, with bloodlines from Tsa'tinée, Nehiyaw, Métis, and Settler ancestry and proud registration with Horse Lake First Nation in Northern Alberta. A dynamic actor, singer, and dancer, she has been storytelling for stage and screen across Turtle Island, bringing heart, truth, and cultural depth to every performance. Her career spans collaborations with leading theatre companies such as Mirvish Productions and Soulpepper Theatre, and she has shone in works including The Rez Sisters, Quebexit, and Jerry Springer: The Opera. Beyond her artistry, Joy-Fraser is deeply committed to community as a cultural carrier, helper, and advocate for 2Spirit and Bear Clan traditions, weaving her heritage into her creative practice. Whether on stage, screen, or in community spaces, she uses her voice and presence to celebrate resilience, uplift diverse stories, and create connections that honour both ancestral roots and contemporary Indigenous expression.
