The Tea Party is a Canadian rock band formed in Windsor in 1990, known for blending rock, progressive, and world music influences. The band consists of Jeff Martin on vocals and guitar, Stuart Chatwood on bass and keyboards, and Jeff Burrows on drums and percussion. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, The Tea Party released eight albums through EMI Music Canada, achieving significant commercial success. Their music has earned them four double-platinum awards, one platinum, and four gold albums in Canada, with over three million records sold worldwide. Notable albums include Splendor Solis, The Edges of Twilight, Transmission, Triptych, and The Ocean at the End. Signature songs such as Heaven Coming Down, Temptation, Save Me, and Fire in the Head showcase the band's dark, atmospheric sound and intricate musicianship. After disbanding in 2005, the group re-formed in 2011 and continues to tour, performing in Canada and internationally. Their live shows often feature elaborate production and orchestral elements, delivering a powerful experience for fans of classic and progressive rock alike.
