I want to leave this Earth behind is a multisensory project by Stefana Fratila and Diana Lynn VanderMeulen which centers on outer space exploration, speculative-fictive realities, and Crip futurity. Considering landscape through the lens of new technologies, I want to leave this Earth behind explores the flora, fauna, sounds and textures of science-fictive and technicolour planets, while environmental characteristics like thunder and wind are spatialized to create an immersive sensory experience.

DIANA LYNN VANDERMEULEN & STEFANA FRATILA
Working in collaboration since 2022, Diana and Stefana work together to engage audiences in an immersive exercise imagining interplanetary and sci-fantastical atmospheres-- conditions which are inherently unlivable, unbreathable, converting all human body-minds into disabled-bodied-ness. Their multifaceted collaboration challenges the limits of their individual practices as they merge three overarching works: Sononaut (VSTs) & "I want to leave this Earth behind" (2LP) by Fratila, and "A Boundless and Radiant Aura" (Extended Reality) by VanderMeulen. Notably, through an artist creation residency with Society for Arts and Technology, Montreal, the duo developed a 40 minute immersive audio-visual experience entitled I want to leave this Earth behind, specifically formatted to the Satosphère’s multichannel sound system and 360-degree projectors. Premiering at Satosphère 3 MUTEK x SAT in August 2023, this full-dome experience debuted internationally at MICRO MUTEK.AE in Dubai, UAE, in May 2024.

Accessibility 
There are five steps up to the main entrance, which has double doors. The steps have handrails. Once inside all facilities are on the same level. There is a single-user washroom inside the unit. Inside the unit there is a visual and auditory fire alarm system.

Public Transit
The 26 Dupont bus stops at Dupont St at Dovercourt Rd. Alternately, you can take the 63 Ossington bus, exiting at Ossington Ave at Dupont St, or walk 1.1km (14min) from the Ossington subway station (take the Delaware Ave exit and walk North on Delaware Ave).

Parking
There is on-street parking directly outside of Inter/Access on Dupont Street. On the north side of Dupont on-street Green P parking is $1.50/hour (pay parking is enforced Mon-Fri 9am-4pm, and Sat 8am-6pm - Location ID 6701). On the south side of Dupont there is free on-street parking. Parking on either side of the street is prohibited on Mon-Fri from 7am-9am and 4pm-6pm.
