The Marysburgh Mummers are proud to present The Importance of Being Earnest, Oscar Wilde’s timeless and razor-sharp comedy of manners. Directed by James Fraser, this lively production brings all the wit, charm, and satire of Wilde’s most beloved play to the stage.
Set in late Victorian England, The Importance of Being Earnest follows two young gentlemen as they bend the truth to add excitement to their lives. What begins as innocent deception quickly becomes a tangled web of mistaken identities, secret engagements, and sharp-tongued social critique. It is all delivered with Wilde’s signature brilliance.
