It has somehow been 25 years since Kevin Coates' seminal first solo album "The Interesting People" was released. On November 19 Kevin's friends and family, as well as musicians who played on this album who were there for the original launch parties will gather at "The Jazz Room" to celebrate their memories of this record. Kevin also looks forward to sharing this music with those he has come to know since that time.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. for those who wish to get a good seat and perhaps order dinner before the show. The music will start shortly after 7 p.m., with a first set consisting of some of Kevin's previously released original songs from both the "Shark Naked" and "Hope" albums, followed by a short break. After this will be a performance of the entire "The Interesting People" album in order, played by Kevin's incredible six piece band, plus special guests. CDs and Vinyls of Kevin's albums will be available for purchase.
