Chuck Jackson has been the lead vocalist and harmonica player for the Downchild Blues Band for over 30 years, appearing on 10 albums and becoming an icon of the Canadian music industry.

His individual awards and honours would fill a page: from 1997’s nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year (Maple Blues Awards), to 2024 and his induction as “Master Blues Artist” in the Canadian Blues Hall of Fame! 2 Juno’s for Blues Album of the Year and 2 Maple Blues awards for Male Vocalist, Mississauga Walk of Fame, and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal are just a few of the prestigious honours he has earned.

He is also the Founder and Artistic Director of the Tim Horton’s Southside Shuffle Blues and Jazz Festival, an internationally renowned event that just celebrated its 27th anniversary!

Take all this creative talent and add 2 other members of Downchild on stage with him (Pat Carey on Sax and Tyler Yarema on Piano and vocals) plus Mutch Lewis on Guitar and vocals, and you have an evening of music you won’t soon forget! Quite simply it is .... Chuck Jackson

Opening the show are the Lowdown Dirty Mojos from Hamilton ON, Maple Blues Award winners (New Artist of the Year, 2022) featuring Paul Wootton (Vocals, Guitar), Stephen Foster (Guitar, Vocals), Robert Jarovi (Organ & Piano), Kevin Christoff (Bass), and Claude Desroches (Drums).
