Join us for a vibrant festival of theatre created, designed, and produced by local high school students!
Curtain Call Showcase is a presentation of local work from young playwrights, directors, actors, designers, and dancers from seven schools across the region. Join Green Light Arts in supporting and celebrating the next generation of theatre-artists in Waterloo Region.
Due to the generous support of Green Light Arts, The Ontario Trillium Foundation and the City of Kitchener, The Curtain Call Collective Showcase celebrates the incredible talents of WRDSB Drama students in playwriting, directing, acting, and technical theatre design. Built on a mentorship model that brings students together with theatre professionals, this collective and celebratory event is truly “Where Student Voice Takes Centre Stage.”

ABOUT GREEN LIGHT ARTS
Founded in 2014, Green Light Arts (GLA) is an award-winning theatre company based in Waterloo Region with the conviction that theatre is essential to human understanding and a powerful force that strengthens the social fabric of our community.
GLA delivers well-crafted, thought-provoking, contemporary theatrical productions including new work and previously published plays. Our work embraces artistic risk and sparks dialogue around pressing social issues, creating daring, text-based contemporary theatre that resonates deeply with audiences. To date, we have delivered 26 productions including 8 premieres. Recent productions include Beyonsea and the Mothers (2025), Late Company (2024), Izad Etemadi: Let Me Explain.
Beyond the stage, we mentor emerging artists, provide paid apprenticeships, deliver arts education programming, and curate outreach events that invite our community into the conversations our artists ignite. We also strengthen our region’s cultural infrastructure through community mentorship and facilities management.
