Onyx Nightclub was a vibrant nightlife and live music venue located at 12 Wyndham Street North, 2nd Floor, Guelph, Ontario. Housed in a 150-year-old historic building overlooking downtown Guelph, Onyx offered an electrifying party atmosphere with DJs, live performances, bottle service, and private event spaces. It became known for themed nights, immersive music experiences, and a lively social scene. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Onyx adapted by hosting livestreamed shows from its in-house studio, maintaining engagement with its community even when physical attendance was limited. Unfortunately, the nightclub permanently closed in March 2024 after falling behind on rent, marking the end of a popular downtown destination and leaving a gap in Guelph's nightlife offerings. Despite its closure, Onyx is remembered fondly for its modern design, dynamic events, and contribution to the local music and entertainment scene. It was a go-to spot for social gatherings, live music fans, and nightlife enthusiasts in Guelph.
