Angie Nussey is a Canadian singer-songwriter originally from Lively, near Greater Sudbury, Ontario. She is known for her deeply personal, reflective songwriting that blends folk, pop, and storytelling traditions. Her music often explores emotional honesty, self-discovery, humour, and everyday life experiences, delivered through clear, expressive vocals and acoustic-driven arrangements. Nussey began writing and recording her own material early in her career and has since built a long-standing presence in Canada’s independent music scene. She has released several albums, including Paint and Turpentine (2003), Silly Songs – Live at Hugh’s Room (2006), Little Tragedies (2007), Still Hope (2010), and I Have No Idea What I’m Doing (2020). In addition to recording, she is an active live performer, touring across Ontario and beyond, often in intimate venues where her storytelling style connects closely with audiences. She has also collaborated with other artists, including work in ensemble projects like Boreal.
