Based in Hamilton, Ontario, Born In The Eighties has built a reputation as one of Southern Ontario’s most reliable high-energy party bands, specializing in a tightly performed mix of classic 1980s dance-floor staples and crowd-favorite hits from the 1990s. Active since the early 2010s, the group recreates the sound and atmosphere of vintage club nights with a setlist that blends synth-pop, new wave, pop-rock, hip-hop, and R&B into a continuous, dance-driven live show designed to keep audiences engaged from the first song to the encore. Their performances emphasize authenticity and fun rather than strict tribute-style reenactment, combining polished musicianship with a lively stage presence that encourages audience participation and singalongs. The band has become a familiar presence at festivals, corporate events, and major regional venues, including appearances at Tim Hortons Field and concerts at Bridgeworks, where their upbeat repertoire consistently draws large crowds. Known for seamless medleys and recognizable hooks, Born In The Eighties delivers a nostalgic yet accessible live experience that appeals equally to longtime fans of retro dance music and younger audiences discovering the era’s enduring party anthems.
