Goldie Boutilier is a Canadian singer-songwriter, model, and DJ born Kristin Kathleen Boutilier on July 31, 1985, in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, who has built a career defined by reinvention and cinematic, emotionally driven music. She first emerged in the early 2010s under the name My Name Is Kay, releasing her self-titled album in 2013 and gaining early attention for pop-oriented tracks like “My Name Is Kay” and “Diddy Dum.” After stepping away from that project, she re-emerged under her current stage name, Goldie Boutilier, developing a more mature sound that blends indie pop, country, rock, and vintage cinematic influences inspired by artists such as Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette. In 2022, she released the EP Cowboy Gangster Politician, which marked a turning point in her artistic identity, leaning into themes of glamour, heartbreak, and reinvention. Her evolution continued with the 2025 album Goldie Montana, a project that further showcased her theatrical storytelling and bold visual style. Known for emotionally rich songwriting and stylized visuals, she has steadily grown an international audience while maintaining a strong independent artistic identity.
