Trying to describe Moulettes is a lot harder than loving their music. Often compared to artists as diverse as Pink Floyd and Kate Bush, this group continues to push the boundaries of acoustic, and sometimes electric contemporary songwriting and instrumentation. What is consistent in every recording they have made is a combination of lush, catchy melodies, ethereal lyrics and a unique sound that blends folk and pop with strings. On this tour, Moulettes will be heavily featuring strings from their current project, Xenolalia.
They have performed at some of the most prestigious outdoor events in Canada, including the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Calgary Folk Festival, Winnipeg Folk Festival and the Vancouver Folk Music Festival. This show is guaranteed to turn heads, and guaranteed to surprise audiences with its unique and fresh take on contemporary songwriting.
