Join psychiatric nurse, educator, children’s author, and parent May Sosa for a practical parent education session about supporting children through anxiety, overwhelm, big emotions, and difficult moments.
Parents and caregivers will learn how to recognize early signs of overload, respond with fewer words and greater clarity, and use co-regulation strategies that support safety and connection.
Each attendee will receive a copy of May’s guided workbook journal, Hard Moments, Small Repairs, to use during the session and continue working with at home.
About May Sosa RPN, BSPN, BA, Children's Book Author
May is a dedicated children's book author, psychiatric nurse, and advocate for neurodiversity. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Psychiatric Nursing. As a mother of a neurodivergent child, her professional and lived experiences deeply inspire her writing.
The stories she creates empower neurodivergent children to embrace their unique abilities while fostering understanding among neurotypical peers. Through her books, she hopes to encourage families to celebrate every milestone in their child's journey and promote a world where all differences are valued.
With English not being her native language, this gives her a deeper appreciation for the challenges of communication, inclusion, and understanding. Her unique perspective fuels her passion for creating stories that celebrate diversity, promote acceptance, and encourage meaningful conversations among children and families.
