Welcome to the 2026-2027 Season of the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra!
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to a season that celebrates connection, creativity, and the vibrant spirit of collaboration. This year, we bring together outstanding guest artists, emerging talent, and inspiring partnerships to create a musical journey that is as dynamic as it is meaningful.
We begin with a powerful collaboration between orchestra and voice, as we are joined by the Waterloo Regional Police Chorus. Our journey continues with a celebration of music and movement, featuring the dancers of Carousel Dance Centre. Finally, we shine a spotlight on the future of music in a program that features our young concerto competition winners alongside a world premiere by Matthew Donnelly.
A season with us is more than a collection of concerts—it is a shared experience, a celebration of local artistry, and an invitation to connect through music. Thank you for being part of our community, and for joining us on this journey.
Concerts this season:
Serenade & Song - November 8, 2026 - 3:00pm: Together with the Waterloo Regional Police Chorus, this program explores the many ways music can inspire, uplift, and unite us. We invite you to listen, reflecct, and share in this journey of harmony and connection.
Spring in Motion - February 7, 2027 - 3:00pm: Music and dance share a common heartbeat - rhythm, movement, and expression intertwined. This performance brings these art forms together in a vibrant collaboration with the Carousel Dance Centre.
Premieres & Prodigies - April 18, 2027 - 3:00pm: This concert forms a journey across generations: from emerging artists to a newly minted composition, and finally to one of the most beloved symphonies in the repertoire.
