Kicking off our family programming, enjoy a performance of Carnival of the Animals by composer Camille Saint-Saëns and a reading of Idris Goodwin’s book Your House Is Not Just A House, and a petting zoo!
Idris Goodwin is an award-winning writer and storyteller whose work spans stage, screen, audio, and page. From his widely produced breakbeat plays and historical dramas to his growing catalog of books for young readers. A United States Artist Fellow and seasoned educator, he has created content for HBO Def Poetry, Sesame Street, and NPR, and will soon join Arizona State University as Associate Professor of Dramatic Writing.
The Bergmann Duo’s dynamic and energetic performances of uniquely eclectic programmes have inspired audiences internationally. Their recitals and concerts with orchestra have taken them to many parts of the world, including the United States, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, France, Macedonia, Greece, China and Canada.
