Present day at the British Museum: A young Ghanaian academic meets with the curator to get her ancestral sword returned to Ghana.
1950’s colonial Gold Coast (Ghana): Nana Abenaa Afima, a royal granddaughter to one of the earliest Empires in Ghana, meets a Bengal-Brit soldier denying his Indian heritage.
In this staged reading, Lily and Gary explore their family histories and how they intersected in Ghana during its road to independence.
